Diana trained and qualified as a nurse then changed direction into residential social work within a large County Council. From 1987 to 1991 Diana was responsible for the oversight of services for elderly and physically disabled which included the inspection of private and voluntary homes for adults.
Between 1991 and 2004 Diana worked both locally and nationally as a regulator of care services for adults and children. From 2004 Diana has been a consultant in health and social care with a varied portfolio that focuses on making improvements to how care is delivered.
Between 2004 and 2016 Diana was contracted by the Isle of Man Government to develop and implement their Regulation of Care Act and associated Regulations and write the Care Standards.
From 2004 to 2019 Diana was contracted to undertake work with the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian.Since 2004 Diana has worked for the Tribunal Judiciary. and from 2014 has worked with the Association of Independent Visitors (AIVuk), where she does work for solicitors, local authorities and private individuals. This work includes capacity assessments for a variety of purposes, certificate provider for LPA’s and visiting clients on behalf of Professional and Local Authority Deputies.
