About The Organisation
AIVuk was formed in 2008, following the implementation of the Mental Capacity Act. Its members are Independent Visitors from across England and Wales who pool their extensive knowledge and resources to provide expertise in working with people who may lack the mental capacity for specific decisions.
All AIVuk members have up to date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks and carry full professional indemnity insurance. They work to an Ethical Code with high standards of professionalism and commitment, encapsulated with the strap line "Safeguarding Best Interests". AIVuk members put the client at the heart of the process.
